EB-2 Retrogression in December 2007 Visa Bulletin

The U.S. Department of State (DOS) has issued the
December 2007 Visa Bulletin . This latest bulletin reflects retrogression in the EB2 category for nationals of India and China. The cutoff date for EB2 for China retrogressed to January 1, 2003; EB2 for India to January 1, 2002. The December visa bulletin becomes effective as of December 01, 2007.

F-1 Visa Numbers bounce back to pre-9/11 levels

The Department of State has issued a record number of visas to students to study in the United States, exceeding pre-9/11 levels. During Fiscal Year 2007, the Department
issued more than 651,000 student and exchange visitor visas - 10 percent more than last year and 90,000 more than were issued in Fiscal Year 2001.

USCIS Revises Employment Eligibility Verification Form I-9

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS)
announced today that a revised Employment Eligibility Verification Form (I-9) is now available for use. All employers are required to complete a Form I-9 for each employee hired in the United States.
